For over two decades Katie has worked with individuals who are experiencing difficulties with complex trauma, addictions and mental health. Katie believes that an anti-pathology, trauma informed approach that aims to “de-pathologise” individual experiences is key to transformation and recovery from trauma. Katie’s approach creates space for women to understand their protective parts and experiences as normal and natural reactions to trauma that have shown up to keep you safe, as opposed to a diagnosable mental health condition. Katie works predominantly with women in group and 1-1 sessions and offers workshops and education sessions on a range of topics including the nervous system, complex trauma, embodiment, somatics and therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery.
