Self Abandonment as a deep rooted pattern

Many Women are familiar with this pattern.

It’s taught from such a young age, as you witness your Mother, your Grandmother abandon themselves in the name of Matrydom, embedding this pattern in further and further to the collective psyche of Women, then finding yourself in relationships, work & other circumstances that offer more opportunities to abandon.

Self Abandonment lives in the Good Girl + the People Pleaser narrative, it lives in the deep need to be loved, accepted and approved of, but at what cost?

Over time Self Abandonment breeds resentment, depletion and disconnect, from Life, Ourselves and Others.

Self Abandonment lives 'if i abandon myself for you, then you can’t abandon me’ paradox

It lives in the trying to be everything for everyone else
It lives in the ‘i’m not worthy narrative’
It lives in the generational patterns that get passed on.

Self Abandonment is a thread through all of Life:
Friends
Family
Relationships
Work
Time Spent
Food choices
Movement choices
Boundaries
Saying Yes when you mean No
Going along with the crowd and not discerning what it right for You

The list is endless.
And there are endless opportunities to release this pattern from your Life if you choose to.
There is always a way out of a pattern if you are ready to meet it.
